| Your invoice will be in your Pay-Pal history bud. See what they say and take it from there. Not sure if you'd be able to re-thread or helicoil a thread on a conrod, might be a bit dodgy IMO. | |

| the last option is a small claims court if there refusing to refund.. as if you havnt used them item is "not as discribed" doing it online you can go overseas and clai
or ring paypal as i had similar problem with a mountain bike about 2 years agao they have got records of all transactions

| Should be 12 month manufactures warranty !!!
Neva know mate they might sort em ? Good luck and if all fails you do have the consumer Direct helpline ? Under sales and supply of goods act 1974 :
Essentially, the Act states that what you sell must fit its description, be fit for its purpose and be of satisfactory quality. If not, you - as the supplier - are obliged to sort out the problem.
This might help :-)

| exactly if they havnt adhered to DSR laws and by law any new product has a 12 months manufacturers warranty by law as thats the legal time for somthing to "last" as they say it was like that in me old job with loads of electrical goods and machinery.. theyl probablys try to riggle out of it but thats fact 12 months for new goods used or not | |

but good on them yes there done by drilling and tapping in the first place but redoing them because a cross thread justb weakent then hold of the threads mate spending hundreds on a build and have it rip out the threads isnt a good idea. well done on getting them changed thou mate hope the rest goes good for you

| as my thread about scoobybits,, they probablys loose business.. now i bet in the future sombody on here wil possibly use MANLEY purely because of this post ..
credit where credits due if there replacing them thats brilliant service but the yanks tend to be like that cos yanks tend to just sue anybody for anything..
so a good customer service eliminates that...
not sure if tapping the old ones would be a good idea surely if your tapping them again itl streatch the hole a little bit moer and weaken the rest of it??????
not very knowledgable with this stuff but that just seems common sense.. but youl no better than me

| It would if you enlarge the hole as you are removing more of the metal ! And also depends on the tolerances of the part etc and as we know there is a lot of force pushing on a con rod | |

| i see the point for tapping them but you carnt escpace the fact it removes metal to rethread and is sligthly bigger by a fraction i get the problem all the time working for nissan and we have to re torque using a wrench rather than using the sensitive torque htc guns as the tend to not like it after tapping so somthing musnt be right.
as for this thread he had them changed so the whole tap and die sets dont realy matter he has a spanking part coming to him which is a big congrats
and yeah it will still weaken them by a very very small amount which possibly wouldnt be noticible but it still does and i couldnt trust it. not a mechanic or anything but its common sense to me

| see bickering all the time on forums and it realy does do me tits in when it starts to wander from the original thread and becomes a debate about something other than what the lad was talking about whcih was getting them exchanged as he was NOT happy to tap them | |
