Would you adam and eve it, me again.

The little yellow engine shaped light thing came on so like a good boy I got it checked out (I know some of you might be shocked by that, but I'm learning)

It said, and I quote "02 SENSOR BANK 1 SENSOR 2 SLOW RESPONSE"

Now WTF does that mean and is it ok to drive till it gets fixed Rolling Eyes Question

Has your car got a decat on Keith? Maybe the oxygen sensor. Not 100% sure though. I'm sure one of the Tech Heeds will be along soon........ Laughing

Yep Phil it certainly has. I followed everybodys advice and fitted a sodding great length of drainpipe to the thing.

Might not sound quite as evil as your car, but I think you'd approve.

I'll wait for a techie to get out of bed.

im no techie Smile but i think. 02 SENSOR BANK 1 SENSOR 2 SLOW RESPONSE means a sensor is failing? or failed sensor.

Check for exhaust leaks can cause it to spit the dummy?

i might be completely out wait for a techie Wink

Cheers Carlos. Andy Carr is back up to Greers this weekend, so I'll ask him to have a quick look at it.

I'm sure it sounds pretty good mate. Defo agree with your later post about getting the car checked out.

Well Dr Andy Carr was here at the weekend and put on his gown and head scope to have a look at the red marauder and the diagnosis is split.

Either the tank of Total unleaded I ran with recently was that bad that it contaminated the sensor, or my lambda sensor is a bit poorly.

Yes I know I should run it on V Power but its a 40 mile round trip and gone are the days I can just "nip out for petrol" and be gone for over an hour etc.

He did comment after the recent mapping session that the stuff in my tank was about the shattest excuse for petrol he'd ever seen, according to the reading he was getting, so maybe I'll have to avoid that garage in the future if they are getting the industry floor sweepings.

Ive now got a tank of normal BP in and had a good run over from Bishop to Gipas place then back to Greers and the light has stayed off, so maybe thats it. Fingers duly crossed and double crossed.

If I could gaurantee super unleaded of any kind available at all times then fine. But I was told by a wise man that if you have it mapped for high octane fuel and put normal in you will fek your engine. It's my daily runner and I can't just nip out like I used to and justify a 40 mile round trip for fuel. Bright ideas always accepted but I've got some constraints nowadays.

Damn and blast. That chuffin, bazzin CEL is back on which probably means the lambda bhuna sensor is on its way out (presuming its the same fault as identified last week) I dont know what Ive done to deserve this, Ive always been very nice to it. I'll get it checked out in case its just something simple, like its not plugged in properly.

But if it does happen to be donald ducked, does anyone have one lying around that I can purchase (or have if you are feeling generous)
