My old Simtek has turned up.

I had a PM today on S/net to say they were in the possesion of my ECU & will return it ASAP. So fingers crossed, ill be getting it back, 3 year too late though, shame it wont fit the Type r,

well after a few e-mails back and forth to the guy who i sent the ecu to by mistake, he's said the lad he sold it to thinking it was a mines ecu, has turned up after several years with the ecu as hes wrote his car off. The guy has given the lad his money back, & has asked me to re-emburse him & then he'll send the ecu back. I have said i'd give him the £ when i receive the ecu & send it off to get tested, as out could have happened to it in the years its been AWOL. It all seems to me as though somethings not right. A person who knew from the start he had received something he didn't pay for, turns up to the seller years later to give it back & the seller offers a refund for what he originally payed for.
That seem strange to anyone else?.
But at the end of the day i wrote the ecu off years ago so won't be too pissed off if i don't get it back. Just means the 740's will have to wait a bit longer. LOL

Tell him you will just forward his mails onto the boys in blue. From what Ive read Im sure this can be deemed as theft. You have wrote this off so you have nothing to lose could be worth a try and then at least it might be the police playing tit for tat instead of you..

Like i said i wrote this off ages ago, & couldn't be arsed with all the shite again, plus the boys in blue are a waste for fooking time, was gonna go for plan B but the news of the world has shut.

I would just drive down to his and get it back, that way if anything happens you can involve the police down there and I'm sure they will turn up then
