due to my maf going again im going to buy a new one. after a short bit of research i have found a site that sells them. it says that they are the same as a nissan fitment. is this correct as they look identical and ive been informed that certain different makes of car share the same maf's i.e. porsche 911 turbos share the same as golf gti's. if so then we have clearly been getting robbed blind as the nissan ones go for a third of the price of a subaru branded part. is the element in the middle is the same and does the same job? if anyone can confirm this i would much appreciate it as i dont fancy being the guinea pig who fries his engine lol. the nissan part numbers are as follows if anyone would like to look them up:
226804m501, 226804m500, 226082w200, 226806n201, 226806n200, 22680ad201, 22680ad200.
it also states that the same part replaces a subaru forrester/ impreza (my99-01) and the part number is 22680aa290.
i know the original part number for my maf is 22794aa010 (subaru original code) if this helps.
i have a friend who owns his own garage/ mot station looking into this matter as im typing this so i will put up any info on as soon as i find out.
