| i have lately noticed that the scoob is using a little water, previous to this we have noticed that you hear a swooshing water sound when revving etc,and have been told lots of scoobs do this, but guessing there must be an airlock,i checked water yesterday and noticed the expansion tank was almost empty and i had to put a little water in the main header tank, which always used to be at the top the car runs fine and temperature is fine,no over heating, but there must be something wrong as the water is going somwhere, i have been told that it needs a pressure test on the coolant system and this should pin point the problem, thanks lian | |

| Yeah a pressure test might tell you if there is a leak you then have to find the bugger ! Check your carpet on passenger side as i think the heater matrix is under the pass dash. If it's leaking from there should have a damp carpet Im sure there will be more advice coming | |

| Could you not drop into Colins garage (next to Big Lou) and get him to have a quick look for you - not very far from you either just in case.
Hopefully just a pinhole in a hose pipe or a loose jubilee clip. | |

| well an update, john topped the expansion tank up with coolant today, and when he was coming home from work tonight he noticed some steam or smoke and a slight burning smell coming from down by the drivers side wing,so he stopped and popped the bonnet and noticed a little smoke coming from the bottom of the engine under the power stearing resevoir but it then stopped, car still running fine and the water still in that he put in,and temperature ok. any ideas john gonna take the undertray off tomorrow and see if he can see anything if not will get it pressure tested at weekend | |
