That can't be good for the engine, petrol starvation

There is a simple solution to this.
The last thing you want is the engine to start to run lean if it starts to run out of fuel.
It will melt

Thats the very solution i was thinking of
It happened to me once, when i got the car the boost gauge was in front of the fuel gauge i didn't notice how low it was till it start to clap out on me.
Needless to say the gauge was relocated a few days after

The reason mine ran so low was because I knew i was getting low so I made a special trip to TESCO top put in their Momentum 99 as I had 2 x 5p per litre off vouchers. That tesco is like 5 miles away and m lass wanted me to go at the end of the day so she could do some shopping so instead of going in the morning i did my pottering about during the day - then the light came on so then we went to TESCO and did the shopping but they were out of Momentum. So i drove to Shell near my house and that's when it had a copugh as we were heading through the teams into Shell Redheugh
