| Never owned one, but made a point of requesting them as hire cars all the time when I had a UK supply base. I drove very little else throughout the 90's. Alfa 155's, 156's, 147's and even a few GT's. Loved the styling but nearly always returned the car in more than one piece......."here's the keys back + rear view mirror, window winder, glove box lid, volume knob, indicator stalk etc It was usual for 3 or 4 groups to set off from Spenny heading to different parts of the West Midlands at 5:30am. We'd blatantly race each other and meet up at Lancaster Services for brekky, last one there had to cough for the fodder. The A66/M6 beckoned like our own personal race track. God only knows how we got through that decade without any points, bans or accidents. I know its not big or clever, but it was ffun back then and........I was never last | |
