STi Brembos on a WRX Blob Empty
PostSubject: STi Brembos on a WRX Blob   STi Brembos on a WRX Blob EmptySat 7 Jan - 14:49

Seems that advice suggests no difference in brake servos etc tween the sti and the WRX so no point in me fitting an sti one to my car to assist my Brembos which just seem a little tame to me compared to my oem set up with performance disks and pads. Maybe my expectations were wrong as to the difference I'd see but I was just wondering what other people have found after the trade up.

I'm going to try some different pads now as maybe the EBC Yellows are more suited to aggressive driving /track use and that's not me, at least it's not me on the 9 miles to work and back where the car doesn't even get warmed up. They just don't seem to have any bite so I presume they need a lot of warming up which they just don't get on my commute. I'm going to try some Pagids courtesy of Drew.

I've heard talk of fitting brake stops (via scoobynet searches) but I've no idea what they are or what benefit they will give if any.

Any other thoughts / suggestions welcomed.

will be pads imo, the pads i use are very good from cold and brake response improved greatly, would also recomend a high quality fluid, fitted loads of these to the brembo brakes and all good, locky has some on his STI Smile

Robbo could you also PM me that same info as I'm looking into the brembo upgrade for my WRX this month and want to know everything I can about it before I dive in and do something silly

Thanks Dan
