Subject: Could it be the head gasket? Tue 11 May - 18:36
The heaters in the car stopped blowing hot over the weekend so i checked the coolant and it was low so i topped it up but once again the heaters gone cold and water level down. The car had a new Radiator 3 weeks ago by the previous owner and im hoping its just an air lock but ive ran it with the pressure cap off as ive filled and it seems to work for a while. Looked for usual stuff- oil/oil filler cap residue smells etc.If it is the worst what sort of cost to get head gasket done (V3 Sti) and how much water does the system hold as i reckon ive added out about 1 ltr in over the past couple of days so big could an air lock be? Sorry for the story guys.
