| Thinking about selling my Blob STI and getting a Hawk STI..... anyone owned both and can recommend which is better? I used to prefer Blob's by a country mile but the hawks are starting to grow on me and wouldn't mind something a bit newer.. what's your opinions??
Cheers, Mark (Robbo) Robinson

| depends which hawk your looking at mate but me personally would,nt sell mine to buy an hawk..i know the aint a lo of difference between an rb320 and my wr1 think rb320 is 2mph or 3 mph quicker top end but o.5 secs slower off the mark which is f*** all to be honest..so its personal choice..devildame666 | |

| He loved the Blob otherwise he wouldnt have bothered licking it clean every weekend and wrapping it in ermine of a winter time. Fact is he wanted a newer car and the blob didnt sell hence its now part of a dozen other peoples cars and and lives on in spirit only. But I think he now loves the Hawk just as much now if not a little more. | |

| Blobeye has a stronger bottom end but lacks the torque of the 2.5 you get in the Hawk. You also get a better ratiod 6speed and dccd to play with in the hawk too. Its personal preference really as theres pros and cons to each car. The one thing i really didnt like about the hawk was the electronic throttle but ive been told response is greatly improved from a remap. |

on paper the sti hawk is 157/8 but in the real world they'll do approx 180 had ours 155 at 5500rpm in 6th (on a private road ) he hawk sti are better than the blobs in quite a lot of ways

| personally i love the look ov the hawkeye.
but the engines are weaker than blob/bugs, and they have the dreaded oil pick up pipe problem
as for the WR1??? IMO they just a different (nice) coloured blob sti...
and personally carnt see why people value them at more than a blob sti..

| IMO if you get the chance then go for a Jap version. Much better specs than the UK. | |

agree and disagree. The jap one has the 2 litre engine which is stronger than the 2.5 but the torque on the 2.5 is way more and the drive ability is way better especially after a remap. I took both types out before I bought mine and for an every day car the 2.5 wins hands down.
