What Bhp should a hawkeye Sti be able to be mapped to with standard turbo, full decat, Gt spec headers and typhoon induction kit.

Thanks

Don't know the exact answer mate but as an idea I have a Hawk STI remapped to 345 BHP / 370 ft/lbs at 1.3bar and I have standard turbo, full de-cat and panel filter

Is yours with standard turbo and injectors Drew, over 400 is that possible with standard turbo and injectors.

Still trying to find out if mine has been mapped, since it has be de-tuned by a previouse owner after the original owner put a different turbo and map on the car, it was running at 315bhp when I had it on the rollers, so I guess it must of been mapped again to suit the original turbo again, but I thought if it had been mapped again why has it not been mapped to its full potential, so I am confused.

mine made 402bhp and 420lb/ft, with a full decat, inner wing K&N induction kit, GT spec headers and front mount intercooler.

This was on standard injectors and turbo.

So do I.

I managed to trace the original owner of my car who told me that he had put a scooby clinic turbo on it and had it mapped by scooby clinic to 350bhp, so now I'm wondering why he bothered changing the turbo in the 1st place, he told me he had sold the car at that spec, so another owner since has put an original turbo back on the car so I presume it has been mapped again but not sure, have contacted scooby clinic who tell me that they have not touched the car since the original owner had it and they mapped it using ecutek software, so does that mean that the licence is already payed for and I can get it mapped by another mapper using ecutek. Will a mapper be able to tell me this before hand or not and will they charge for letting me know.

Possible that it's had the original OEM map flashed back onto it (will have been saved before any changes made) or a standard ECU fitted?

Drop one of the Ecutek mappers (Andy Forest or Bob Rawle) an email, sure they'll advise you on checking for licence, map changes and cost.

My head gaskets did let go after three months of running in this spec, so I wouldnt take the car much past 370-380 ish.

My new Sharkeye, now has a full decat, K&N and remap and is running somewhere near 370ish

In that case i think I will just enjoy it as it is! No point blowing a gasket for another 25BHP!!

Cheers Iddy

as iddy said above..

over 400 on standard internals is well passed the limits..

its a case ov wen will it let go, not if it will let go Wink

IMO 360-370 is your best bet Wink
