Subject: Help needed Fri 4 May - 21:23
Anyone got any ideas on this Had inlets off today as I had a water leak under them put it back together and it's running lumpy and won't idle properly the oh thing I've changed is the plug leads tried all the pipe work and everything seems on and fine ..... This car is starting to make my head hurt

Is it sealing correctly? New seals maybe lol have you checked all pipes?

Yeah I used new gaskets and seals I will soak it will wd40 and see if runs smooth cos all the pipes are fine It's just ticking over lumpy

is CEL light on
sounds like water temp sensor,,
make sure you have bled the water system correctly as if there is a air pocked in water jacket around water temp sensor, it results in problems you describe

No there is no lights on but I never drained it I just toped it up am sorting my lass car in the morning but I will try draining the full system and refilling it I need to pop to yours on the afternoon if your in for that cl unit like bud if no better you can wave ya wand ;-)

in the morning before you start it up check the water level, at header tank (one infront ov turbo) if its low fill it too the brim, probably keep takin water, just keep topping it up until it stops wanting more...
then start it up with the header tank cap still off, you will find it needs more water, just keep topping it up until header tank is full (with engine running), then put cap back on

Tried all of the above checked everything and it's a bit better but still ticking over lumpy any more ideas the only thing that is different is a different set of leads :-(

Have you changed the leads if so are ya sure they all on the plugs rite cos its easy to get 1 down the side of a plug

Yeah bud new leads same fault it's like it's drawing air am going to take the inlets back off tonight and put new gaskets on again just be on the safe side It's just ticks over very lumpy Mate

Don't I sound knowlegable ... lol (my friends car has just had water in hers and it was running lumpy too )

It's all sorted gasket had a slight tear in it changed and now it's pissing all over other cars again yesssss big smiles BIG SMILES
