Hi guys....a mate, Lee (Locky) is a member and I was wanting to have a look at his project thread.....My home club is scottishscoobies.net
Anyway, thought I'd say hello. I have a 2006 STI...currently running 362 & 414....but undergoing a 5 day self build...well...me and 2 mates to be exact to take it up to just over 500bhp. I bought the block from a guy named Drew....some of you may know of him.
Anyway...here's a couple of pics for anyone that's interested

Cheers for the welcome guys
Day 2 has gone pretty well.....engine is out now and ready for the heads coming off for skimming tomorrow. FMIC has been sat into place...it's a neat fit and had to be levered in with .......a grinder! Sounds worse than it is TBH A few brackets fabricated too so all good. Had a bit of fun separating the engine from the gearbox....had never been off before and one side wasn't wanting to let go....it did in the end though
Will give you a few wee daily progress updates as we go along...here are a couple of pics of the day!

Well...thats day 3 gone by! I'm starting to think we may over run by a day or two lol! Got the old block stripped down today....also the intercooler and rad brackets fabricated, welded & painted. Then lastly the custom induction pipework fabricated and painted! 9 This morning til 9 tonight....am a wee bit tired!
Couple of pics of the day and a couple of some of the new bits
FMIC & Rad in place
Wing off for induction kit installation
GT30R, Foot long K&N filter and Turbosmart Ultragate 38 external wastegate
Lateral intake pipe
Custom induction pipe
More as it happens

Cheers mate The fmic / rad is for an RS500 Cosworth. It's not really a branded one as such. It's decent quality none the less though. Needed a bit of chopping and welding to suit but it's in and a great fit now. A bit thinner that most front mounts but has a massive surface area which should work very well
