Can anyone let me know about oil filters? for WRX 2004 went to get one but the one I got was a lot smaller, dealer said it was correct for my car?? has Subaru changed specs?

Yes I spoke to import cars in bishop and they said Subaru have chanced Spec a few times and the new type are the smaller ones.
