Anyone watch the footy ?

I just got back from old Trafford after watching Team GB (UK actually but never mind) gve up the ghost against Senegal. Admittedly the opposition should have been down to about 8 men by half time but hey ho.

Is this just going to be like watching England I ask myself......promise so much but deliver so little ?

I've got a ticket for the 1/4 finals at Sid James Park, am I likely to see Team GB again ??

I'm not a major footy fan, used to be, but not so much nowadays. What did people think or did you not bother ???

If come up against spain or barazil again it will be game over for us, no chance of a medal after the 2 displays I have seen.

To be honest, the match that was on beforehand - UAE vs Uraguay - was much more entertaining, proper end to end stuff and plenty of tricks to boot. However the atmosphere was better for Team GB. Drive back was a nightmare with the 50mph avg speed on the M62 nearly sending us off to sleep in the almost silent Honda. Still the match tickets only cost me £30

However the day itself has cost me much more than that courtesy of my much loved wife who decided to go mountaineering in my much loved the Scoob while I had her car. I barely heard her whisper "Sorry about the wheel" as she dashed out for work this morning. God bless her, she never does things by halves, why kiss the curb once when you can do it twice for good measure.......

why oh why did you let her take your car, it would have actually been cheaper to take the scoob, lessons learned I think
