Speedo - speed limiter Empty
PostSubject: Speedo - speed limiter   Speedo - speed limiter EmptyThu 9 Aug - 18:33

Wired in a universal speedo, i know they dont give an accurate reading but was sick of it saying i was doing 0 mph lol.. Anyways, driving along doing around 40-50 mph and speedo was saying i was doing about 110 mph, as soon as it got to 117 mph it would cut the power.. My ecu still restricted to 117 mph???

The speed limit on a jap import ecu is in the ecu software, it's 112mph (or 180kph) not 117mph, to remove it you need to add a kph to mph converter/speed delimiter box to the back of the clocks if its a 97-00 import, this intercepts the speed signal going back to the ecu converting it to MPH from KPH, this moves the speed limit to 180mph, if it's a 92-96 you can fit a simple converter to the speedo cable/gearbox that does the same job.

You need to fit import clocks with a converter (speedo cable type) for it to work.
