Subject: Classic turbo 2000 gearbox - what fits? Sun 19 Aug - 21:24
Quick tech question for the people who have done this. A mate of mine needs a gearbox for his turbo 2000, will all of the classic range boxes fit or does it need to be specific turbo 2000 one? He doesn't want to change the rear diff or drive shafts just wants a straight swap.

Youll need a uk classic or some/all of Bugeye wrx's run 3.54 rear diff as well which wud go straight in, swopping the rear diff is a piece of cake

Thanks bud, sounds like the wrx box and diff is the best option. Think he has a problem with seized bolts holding the rear diff but after covering 130000 miles I don't think a replacement will do any harm - provided the bolts come out

Mine where tight too mate i have spare bolts n nuts if yous get stuck
