dropped a version 2 engine into version 1 shell

Recently dropped a version 2 engine into a version 1 shell. Engine needed water pump replacing, so done that. Timing belt was changed and timed up.
Av bin told the car will probably not fire up as the wiring loom is completely different. Would this be true? Or am I jus being fobbed off?
Would like some advice on what to do thanks guys

Prob yes I'd use the v1 engine harness

harness should be the same.

difference in harness was uk t import

so if you have fitted a uk harness too a import engine..

and remember i only sold you the shell.
