changing dash clocks/dials Empty
PostSubject: changing dash clocks/dials   changing dash clocks/dials EmptyWed 19 Dec - 19:34

looking to buy some new dash clocks for the scoob but its proving to be a ball ache finding out which ones i need. currently got the standard green WRX dials on mine (2005 late model blobeye PPP with the hawkeye interior)

the dials im after are the red sweeping ones which i think are found in hawkeye STI's. from what i've read there seems to be some modification needed to get the hawkeye clocks to link up with the blobeyes. all of the examples of people fitting them i can find seem to be on earlier blobs so i don't know how relevant they are to me with the later dash.

what i'm really interested in finding out is, how much of a job it would be to fit Hawkeye STI dials in a 2005 Blob WRX without the dash being full of warning lights, and ideally retain the sweeping feature if it is even possible (for some reason ive got a feeling this feature requires the STI ecu to work, hopefully im wrong)

and final question, what colour do the Bug/Blob STI clocks light up? might have to settle for these if the Hawk setup doesn't work

thanks for reading,
Mike.

Has anyone done this to theres?

Really need to find out what colour the blob/bug sti clocks are when lit up incase they'll do for what i want. Every pic i find online is either not lit or are the later dccd clocks.

Mike.

cheers keith, just saved me about £80 buying a set.

are the bulbs easy to replace on the wrx speedo? might have an easier time of i just swap the green ones out for red. its either that or bite the bullet and get some hawkeye dials and see how i get on.
