| I've a got a 330d Auto. I'm going to get it mapped but not sure where to get it done. A few people have said big fish tuning. http://www.bigfishtuning.co.uk/All the mapping seems to be upload a generic program from a file. Any body on here had any experience of getting their diesel car mapped properly? | |

| Ive heard good reviews of celtic tuning but they pretty much do the same as what you say, a generic tune really from what i can gather. and they up the power to levels that may reduce engine life so id do a lot of research before choosing one mate. Went to get my old 120d mapped but in the end didnt bother as noone was very convincing. | |

| Hardy, just out of curiosity I dropped a note to Andrew Carr and his response was as follows : "I can't custom map BMWs, I have a slave system where I can read and write the ECU memory but have to rely on a 3rd party to modify the maps for me." So sounds like he can only flash the cars with something prewritten as opposed to the live mapping he does on proper our sort of cars. | |

| Hardy, I just got another mail from Andrew this morning : "As a matter of interest, I just had a quick look at the Bigfish website, they use the same system as I have, although they may have a master unit, they actually claim the same figures for the 330D as my guy does which I assume means they are using maps from the same database."
Let me know if you want to get in touch and I'll PM you his contact details. | |

| Flash trash mapping is used by big fish but apparently they don't use maps from a generic database.. Unlike Prodrive and the PPP map that is a generic flash trash map.. | |

| S Cars in spennymoor and john pye in bishop auckland do remapping of BMWs. My mate has had his Audi done by S Cars and he says its great. But they are generic maps that you can get from most mapping places.
Like Keith has said I dont think you can live map these ecus unless someone has bespoke software to do it. Even then live mapping is normally only on aftermarket ecus.
You cant live map a subaru standard ecu as you have to stop and up load the data once the mapper has taken his reading and adjusted the setting.
