Was awesome to watch some of the footage from Colin's early days, he must have pushed that Nova in his early days way beyond it's limits to be keeping up with some of the faster cars, Footage was awesome to watch.

I read on Scoobynet that the actual car used in last nights show was a replica, N555 BAT.
So they must have changed the reg plate especially for the show. It's owned by Ryan Champion who's a rally driver himself and his family also runs a garage in Castleton.
The real L555 BAT is in a museum in Scotland at the moment.

They would of been pretty damn stupid to let a cyclist loose in the real deal gold medal or not..

That's what I was thinking, surely they won't let him drive the real thing, what if he rolls it??
But I think he did ok in the end.

I don't think you can compare Mcrae to Ken Block though, he's more of a show-boater than anything else. Not that I could drive like him lol He's just a different type of driver in my eyes.

Like said above, the car used in the program was N555BAT which was McRae's team mates car in 1995 and was exactly the same specification as L555BAT which McRae drove, the car is now owned by a private driver from Whitby I think and still competes in rallies today. WRC regulations limited these cars to 300 bhp.

I had a feeling after reading posts that it wasn't mcraes especially when I saw the champions sticker on the back of the car

great program really enjoyed it ,didnt know about champion owning that car like ,they are a family of rally drivers even the mam joyce drives
