| Stupid. Nowhere near the same car. They are flat, bit boring, just as thirsty.
You would have regretted it within a couple of days mate. Keep yor bug.

| Didn't realize you had a gx. Performance will be better on the ST but any 2.0 car isn't going to return you favorably mpg. Diesel as suggested!! | |

| get a clio 172. can pick them up for a grand they are quick, fun and mine would average 36mpg and sometimes hit 40mpg on a run. mine was actually more fun than my impreza on country roads either that or anything with a pd130tdi motor in it as they are quick with a remap | |

| I have the astra H 1.9 diesel 150 remapped to 173 (hope to be better next time on the rollers, had a choked filter lol ) and I get 40+ round the doors and 60+ motorway.
Paul uses that for work and we use it for running about saves a fortune. |

| update, seems like i've encountered a few iussues now i have the daunting decision of either selling or repairing first, my fuel pump has now started making a high pitched whine sound and when i come to a stop i can hear the note change and the revs drop a little second, i either have a rusted fuel tank or split brake lines whats everyones opinion on this? i'm sick of throwing money into this now | |

| Any inteligent person would try put a match to it, then you would have you answer, pertrol or brake fluid ? You not have a nose ?, surely if it were one or the other you would be able to tell. Petrol leak= the needle will go down faster than normal. Brake line split=whoops i have no brakes.

| When you say it's using loads of fuel, exactly how much is it using how many miles are you getting to a tank, thought a GX would not be too bad on fuel, but obviously if you've got a leak in your fuel tank then you are going to use more than you should be. | |

| The GX is pretty thirsty, even if you don't have a fuel leak. I got mine with the intension of saving money but it's only slighty more fuel efficient than the WRX so I might as well have got one of those instead. | |

| well I found the leak, I couldn't tell at first if it was petrol.as it didn't have a strong smell to it I filled.the tank and went for a little drive and its leaking from the fuel pump access plate the runner seal is cracked and brittle just need to get it to seal properly now | |
