| Don't do it Natski you will regret it, why does your wife not like it, does she drove and have her own car also, if she does then just tell her that's her choice of car and that the scoob is your choice of car end of story as far as I would be concerned, but if you definitely made your mind up, hope you are going to replace it with something worthwhile. | |

| Aww nooo Nat .. don't do it. Like you've probably seen before, remind your other half that at least if you're spending on your car/out tinkering with it etc .. then you're not doen the pub or god knows where with god knows who. Paul will openly tell you how he ended ip with his first and his username - he was wanting a bigger faster sports bike and I did put my foot down about that - its not just how he rode his, it's the other idiots on the road. So the compromise was the impreza and thats how he came to have his first one ... I didn't even like them (dare I say preferred evo's) ... his username came from him coming in from nights one morning and the dog was up dancing round the bedroom waiting for him - she'd heard him coming round the corner of the main road and recignised the sound long beford he got home - so I'd said she'd heard his 'mid life crisis' coming rund yhe corner .. so thats where that came from. But the upshot of it is I'd rather he spent time and money on his car as drink it etc .. and now they've grown on me. Try involving her a bit more with it and it might help. Hope you can keep it |

| She never used to say shit when I was smoking £130 worth of weed a week.. Now I have a new hobby that is cheaper she kicks off when I buy stuff for it. Today she is off work so I gave her my bank card told her to piss off out and not come home till either a) she is happy or b) I have gone too work.
Sometimes she is fine about it sometimes she isn't, you may remember my fake advertisement for the car on here a few months back, that kept her happy for a bit until I told her I had no intention of selling it lmfao.
Now its a bit different I am stating to get sick of all the chew on owning a car like this comes with. Only being able to go to tesco for fuel, having to piss about changing bits for MOT, Little muppets in there audi S3s thinking they have to sit right up my chuffer till I get sick of them and risk loosing my licence.. There's an unlimited list of things that are pissing me off right now and I don't have the time to type em all out lol..
Have to say thanks to Finn I do feel a bit better as he has offered to get me sorted out on a couple of the things and I know he won't let me down.
My phone has been going mad all morning people wanting to buy the car and its only been advertised on Scoobynet for 14hours now.. That has made me think WHAT THE FOOK AM I DOING !!!!

| Take your time and work out if its really what you want because once its done there's little chsnce you'd get it back.
You also don't have to let them goad you in the audis .. just cruise along in the knowledge that if you wanted to .. you 'know' you can.

| Natski, no offence intended mate. Don't mean to belittle your trials and tribulations. Been there with the other half grief and mine is an angel compared to most but I pushed her to the limits a few times with my chewing and moaning. She didn't sign up for it and I tempered things back.
Thing is, even though I'm driving about in a nice new car, I miss the old ones for all its good and bad coz I'd invested more than just money in it and now regret letting it go. Appreciate your circumstances may be different but just giving you a glimpse of what might come. If you do decide to sell, then just make sure you can actually walk away from it, as mrs KGT wasn't very impressed the other day when I started on about regretting selling mine. | |

| Well I have been thinking about it a lot and trying to decide what car that isnt a subaru I could realistically get instead and still be happy here is my list: 1) Nissan skyline GTR R33 2) Toyota supra 3) Mazda RX7 4) Focus RS MK1 5) Saph Cosworth 6) Evo TME 7) Pulsar GTiR That is it that's the list of cars I would only ever own so I needed to ask myself a few questions. 1) Would Sarah be happy about me owning any of these cars ? NO 2) Do I know anything about any of these cars ? NO 3) Will I have the same chew on with these cars ? YES maybe more.. 4) Will any of these cars get me to work in the snow ? 2 would 5) Would I miss my Scooby ? yes 6) Am I going to sell it ? AM I FOOK GOING TO SELL IT !!! 7) Am I going to spend anymore money on it ? I Will do what I need to do to maintain it its fast and shiny enough. 8.) Do I care if she is not happy about me spending money on the car ? Yes but life's a bitch.... 9) Am I ever going to own a "sensible car" ? Naahhh 10) should I get a cheap runabout and keep the Scooby ? No I will never use it when there's a 380+ BHP impreza sat there.. Thanks for all the advice peeps and it looks like I'm here to stay with possibly one of the best Scoobs in teeside Yes it really is that good | |
