| After the collaboration between Toyota and Subaru to build the BRZ and GT86 and Toyota getting the better deal out of it, looks like Toyota have gone the next step. Just been watching the business news on sky and Toyota have launched a bid to take over Subaru altogether, so this could be the end of the make as we know it | |

| Sounds like a logical step, after all Toyota and Subaru are built in the same factory in Japan | |

| Probably not a bad thing tbh, so long as they don't remove the fast scoobies from sale, it makes sense and would be beneficial. Toyota are huge compared to Subaru and would be able to invest massively in the company. | |

| Yeah, totally agree, Toyota are world leaders in auto manufacture, what Toyota do, everyone else follows. Apart from brakes, they don't do brakes well | |

| When it comes to their manufacturing model Toyota are the number 1. Believe it or not their manufacturing methodology of eliminating waste in their processes has been adopted in other industries including healthcare in the USA and is also now used extensively in the NHS !! |

GM had a stake but sold out few years ago, then Toyota bought in. Now their law is changing which will let them take over. They couldn't before due to a law stopping any company from dominating a certain market. | |
