Hi all have a classic impreza which I share with stick on here we use it for a bit fun. Now we have a few mods to her and just after Christmas we had it mapped off mr Forrest. What a guy he is. Any way on the mapping session we blew up 3rd gear put it down to a old knackerd gear box. So sourced a new box a ty54 instead of the ty52 that was in. Took it out on sat night had a bit fun and pop no more gear bot 2nd gear gone. Now the question what do you big power guys run 6 speed or PPG many thanks mick

Six speed bud, the PPG's are prone to breaking from what the guys on 22b have been finding

Agree with Steve can't go wrong with a 6 speed box. The RCM Gobstopper has a 6 speed and that's running 800 BHP

If 6 speed what's the advantage of dccd over non. And will I be able to use my AP clutch out of the 5 speed on the 6 speed

The DCCD 6 speed boxs cost much more than the non DCCD boxs they have sleightly longer gears and obviously have DCCD. As for the 5 speed clutch fitting the six speed box if its a pull type clutch yes it will fit but I think it may be a push type

Am sure stick said its a pull type. The box we had I'm wouldn't go over 130 is that normal, and I assume 6 speed will
