| I then started the lovely task of stripping it down abit to shed some pounds... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Treat it to a new steering wheel, nice faux suede, dished job, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]She then stood like this for abit. We called it the fifty shades car for obvious reasons ... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I then found some cheap twin lamps and give them a spruce up, fitted some Comp mo6's (now sold) Upgraded to a JMG20G with some ported headers, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]I acquired some heat wrap for a great price, free ... Up pipe and headers got done along with intercooler piping, what a pain this is to do and make neat! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The standard clutch wasn't upto much cop either so this was removed and replaced with another Finn special, cheers bud. Quick clean up and it was ready for fitting, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The car has been mapped 3 times now and all have went fairly well, apart from the last map which killed a box, saw a flat battery stop play for abit, pulled by the police and almost binned it with AndyF in the car, never mind though, we survived it all! Anyone use these much - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]They don't help the flexi's, Goodridge lines couldn't hold the pressure - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]When piping this up, decided to ditch the primitive ABS system. It exists, I just don't really do build threads after my last one on the net I don't mind doing this as it wont get any more goodies as they are being saved for the Blue bomber project. | |

| So then, bought some Fully adjustable Teins that turned out to be a right pain. They were meant to be ready to use but upon delivery I thought otherwise, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] So after a right old fight I stripped them down, cleaned the threads up and bought new adjusters and springs and give them abit refurbish. | The Teins were shot, I put them on the gas and they knocked, banged and drove bad so they came off doubly quick and were sold on as spares/repair.. So the car then got some fancy BC coilovers as I managed to get them for silly cheap. They went on and I bought some Speedline alloys to fit on instead of the comp mo's. The speedline were shot so had the blasted, cleaned and painted in a nice sensible colour ... [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]So the car now stands alittle like this, boot is a skinned standard lid which is literally tin thin and held on with bonnet pins. The boot floor is out and so is all other things that weight anything. The car is starting to signs of an aging Classic around the rear arches so this 'project' is really finished as I have just picked up our new project, the Blue Bomber. The Bomber will make a thread soon, I have the updates awaiting that. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] | |

| Treat myself/The bomber to some new goodies. Will fit them into the Banger for time being to get some seat time in it, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Time to dial in some settings for Geo and then get it on the track again. Think i'll just run on the RE050's for the time being and see how it goes with them, tempted by some Dunlop X10s. | |

| Well had the banger at knockhill at the weekend. And all went well. Was the first time out with the 6 speed fitted. Now not sure if it the box or me but I seem to be changing gear a lot more than a did with the 5 speed is this normal or do I need the car remapped for box or do a need to learn how to drive so to speak. | |

| The early 6 speed boxes are stupidly low ratio mine goes thru the gears way too fast. You just need to get used to it and consider 4th to be the new 3rd | |
