My wheels need a refurb. I also need new tyres.
Do I refurb my standard STi wheels and get new tyres or get new wheels and tyres?
Car is Crystal Grey Blob wide track.
What colour refurb or what wheels??

Has to be black wheels mate. I've got the same car as you've seen but getting some new wheels in the next few month but I'm keeping my standard ones and putting some nice winter tyres on them..

Well I've bought ebc discs and yellow stuff pads, a set of Vredesteins and now just need the refurb.
It's going in Thursday ready to collect Friday all ready for NBO but still undecided on colour.
A few late suggestions and pics please??

Quite a few folks had wheels done at Stella Blast in Chester Le Street. Give them a bell and ask for Drew. If you aren't planning to have a spare or winter set up, I'd refurb your existing ones. My Prodrive alloys that the guys did were a work of art - black gloss with an anthracite sparkle in the lacquer. Really lit up when the sun hit them

In getting them done at the wheel specialist in Westerhope. I use them at work and can get them done for £140 powder coated any colour including stripping tyres and replacing them all balanced.
A nice anthracite with a good metallic in sounds nice

New wheels and tyres gets my vote, as the saying goes you can't polish a turd

In most cases you'd be right Natski, but I've got pics that say otherwise with regards to Stella Blast talent and I'd say a few other folks would agree. New is nice but not always needed then you can direct funds elsewhere.

Agreed. Was £1000+ for new wheels or a refurb (very good job) done for less then £150. They will be the same quality as a new set
