My 97 Forester just passed its MOT Friday, no advisories but had to get a rear fog light fitted for it to pass. I was just wondering how the garage that sold me the car last August got an MOT on it without one ? Have the rules changed in the last year. Must admit the exhaust was shot a week after purchase so maybe Car dealer friendly MOT man ? Also just found out that a certain place in Sunderland had charged me for a flush and new anti-freeze yet failed to put any anti-freeze in,not good when cars outside year round.

Foglight is mandatory for MOT. It MAY have had a foglight bodged on for test then removed or possibly a waivered oversight of the fog.
Sunderland = Eclipse ?

Yeah Eclipse, bit worried about cambelt change they did at the same time now, though I think any problem would have shown itself by now......fingers crossed.

Drew on here will do a belt change if your worried for £100, maybe worth it if your really worried.
Have they even changed it ?
