Any one ever heard or seen anyone reconditioning the leather on steering wheels as mine looking tatty from use and my work belt catching it getting in and out the car

Sure it can be done. You can probably get one from a breaker for same sort of money though

You can get the leather sorted, a lad on a BM forum I was on used to restitch them in the ///m colours and recondition leather, wasn't cheap though.
Not fancy a nice aftermarket one with a nice boss kit ?
