Removing Hatch Front Grill Surround

Had a go at this last night whilst take a break from the bloody Fly Eye's torture session and nearly snapped the twatting thing in half.

I took the 4 pop stud things out of the top part which came away easily, but it seems to be attached to the whole of the front valance and pretty securely too.

I tried getting some light on the situation from inside and under the car but I was none the wiser.

Whats the secret ?

I just undone the top ones near the radiator then pulled it enough to get my hand in with a screwdriver then undo the three screws that hold the grill to the bumper. Job done!

I'll have another look Carl. I tried a few times last night but thought I was going to wreck the whole thing so gave it up as a bad job. Where are the screws located ??

Sorry 4 screws on the WRX, and i think its the same on the STI, most people tell you to take the bumper off to get to them but you can do it fairly easy like a said.
Just take the top plastic studs out then pull it enough to get your hand down to feel for the screws then use a stubby screwdriver to undo them!

I have circled the screw holes in black.
