There is a slight notchy gear change from 4th to 5th Trev when accelerating hard. So suspect a worn synchro. I am having the gearbox rebuilt for with new synchros, etc for my peace of mind. Dave I've told you plenty of times you are welcome to come up amd I will clean your bay for you bud |

A good friend of my best mate who rebuilds gearboxes for a living - he is based in Addison Industrial Estate over Newburn Bridge and his workshop is in the same building as Just Diesels - he rebuily my mates Type RA box and also his 450bhp RS4 Avant - he is supposed to be top quality. His name is Terry |

| Mine just one night on a top speed run jumped out of 5th, I slowed down got it back in gear and drove it home steady, wouldn't go into reverse when I got home so pushed it in garage. Next day went to get it out and couldn't select any gears at all lol, so changed the box, old one is still sat in the garage, I'll take it apart one day and see what went wrong lol | |
