| Whats the best way to clean a maf sensor, what cleaning chemical / tool etc..?
Was thinking of using a cotton bud, but not sure what type of cleaning product to use?
Don't want to break it.

| no dont use brake cleaner for fuck sake , right this is a gray subject amongst most tecs , brake cleaner leaves a resedue behind which coats the sensitive components inside meter use electronic contact cleaner only, if u use brake cleaner it will cause contaminants to stick and make sensor clog more frequent or fail compleatly. remove sensor ,or flow meter spray contct cleaner from rear first then front , stand with air flow arrow pointing to floor for 20 mins to make sure all resedue has evaporated, then refit sensor , job done | |

| I use Isopropyl alcohol, as Col says you don't want to use anything that will leave a residue behind.

| Decided to use Electronic solvent cleaner from Maplins.
Did the trick and left no residue. | |
