few recent pics of mine

well after needing a bit of a engine rebuild i got my scooby back last thursday after drew sorted it out for me.
needed to give it a clean as the day it was getting mapped it pissed down allday and was scruffy.

over the moon to have it back just got a few more miles before its run in then going to change the oil and duncan is going to give it the once over.
its so hard trying not to put my foot down as it feels so much quicker from lower revs.

and a few pics i found of my escort i had about 2yr back. should never of sold it but will have another next year hopefully.

old skool drooooool loves me escorts ...always liked the ghias just couldnt find a decent 1 so had to settle for an RS Q plate

ive even thought about selling the scooby to get another but i would have to but money towards one aswell which is alot of dosh.
that black one had never even been welded and apart from a few small rust bubbles on 1 arch it was mint. wish i never put a pinto in there though as it was slower than the xflow that came out. if i dropped a zetec in am pretty sure i wouldnt of sold it.

was gonna drop zetc in mine but the conversion was £1650 so went for a big pinto .. i think theres some pics on here somewhere ....

your right about the zetec not being cheap but i reckon once its in you would have to spent a fortune to get a pinto to be as quick.
i been in my mates mk1 mex rep and its got a 150bhp pinto in which is dyno proven and to be honest it had decent bottom end but no top end pull.
went sideways pretty easy though

only took about a week once i decided what route to go with the engine. good to have it back as it was getting a bit cold using the motorbike in the morning for work

when i built an escort a couple years back (i sound old dont i) it got a zetec in it, the engine cost £50 (including the car it was attached to). Its just all the fueling, ignition, exhaust and adaption bits that cost loads.

If youve got the time and skills make things yourself it gets alot cheaper.

Oh if you do get another put bike carbs on it they are way more reliable than webber/dellorto's and give loads of bottom end
