| Pretty much as tittle.
Struggled to start on saturday. Turning over but not firing then after a couple of goes it finally started, then the same again this morning. I used if a few times over the weekend with no issues.
Got home tonight parked the car on the drive went back out to move it after being parked for a few minutes and now it's not starting at all.
I've had a check around all the connectors they look ok i have found that it's not sparking so i'm thinking along the lines of crank sensor or something like that.
Any advice to what it may be or any common problems would be welcome.

| Most likely crank position sensor failure, very common on your year car, have you done a fault code check? | |

| I'm at hendon right opposite bristol streets body shop.
I'm trying to get the afternoon of tomorrow to spent some time on it, but my boss is being a jockey so i won't know if i'm off till about half 12 tomorrow.
I didn't really want to take it to eclipse but as i say worst case senario its only 2 minutes from my house.
However there has being a development. It starts no idea why. I came out this morning and it fired up first time, it' stood all day got in from work and it's still starting.
The em light is working again also the cat on fire light (i think) is working again.
I'm thinking now that i am looking at a wiring fault. either a loss of supply or earth to the computer.
I've had a good pull around on the harness but i can't get it to fault.
Could the main relay cause this.
I have also pulled the ecu out checked the connectors on that they all seem ok.

That seems a bit extreme. Anyway after 2 days of starting it died again last night outside a mates house so that was me at half 12 at night in the pi55ing down rain working on the car at the side of a fairly busy road. The good news is i've half found the problem it's lost it's ignition live to the ecu, i don't know why yet but by giving the computer my own live i got it started and was able to get home. So now just need to trace the open circuit and it will be sorted.

| don't worry about it. It didn't fault till the night anyway.
It has a viper vx460 cat alarm system. Fitted by me, and i can't for the life of me remember if this feed was on the circuit i immobilised.
Been very security Conscious i took the trouble toremove the dash and fit the alarm system behind it so no thieveing scum could try to bypass it.
I'll get it sorted at the weekend weather permiting, I actually like tracing wiring faults just it's not normally on my own car though.
