my air con pump seazed and snap the belt i got a new 1 off ebay £5 would you bother fitting 1 or not? if its worth fitting it is it an easy job

If the pump is still seized it'll just snap the new belt again mate, at best.

no mate i got a new pump secondhand 1 just wondering whether to bother to fit it or not bud do i have to re gas and at what cost ect im a windo down man in summer just saw the pump on ebay bid a fiver and got it .

Sorry misread thought you meant new belt for a fiver. Drew can regas the air con for you but he's up here in Chester le Street. Sure if you're passing this way sometime he could help and he won't be a fortune like some places

cheers was thinking of haveing a ride up at some time mate just get someone to maybe give my motor the once over so may get it fitted and get in toutch and have a ride up .

you loose about 3 bhp through your aircon if you switch it on uses slightly more

ah sh!te, wish i'd known drew does it, he could have re-gassed mine when i was up his on saturday.
Doesnt feel as cold as it should, how often do they need re-gassing?

Aircon normally needs regasing every 2 years as the gas disapates throught the pipes over time, if a system is in good working order and gassed to the correct amount they shud not affect fuel economy or power (that you notice), yip i cann regas them no probs takes about 45mins to do
