Porsche Turbo not as quick as he thought

Was driving home today and I had bumped into a 2008 Porsche turbo a few times but I have never been the person to chase after cars, the Porsche was a little close to my rear end at one point so when the road cleared I floored the car in 6th gear and left a big gap between us then I slowed down. He caught me up then he decided to floor his car which I applied a little light throttle in 6th gear agan and I had to brake loads as I ws virtually in his boot. He then realised he wouldn't get away from me so he moved over and I then past him like he was parked up and eventually slowed to a semi normal speed.

I still know which car I would rather have but if the Porsche turbo is a bench mark for a fast car I wasn't particulary impressed.

must be fun to do something like that and have the ower for it

Once mapped up properly I would like to bump into a Zonda

Mapping will be sometime in the next month, I'm hoping for around 2.2bar as its only running 1.5bar for its running in map

mine is running 1.1 bar and it s enough for me

off the mark a high powered scoob is going t give anything a good run IMO

but topend the supercars are always going t have the edge.

Finn, I still think I would have him over 150mph as I would say mine should do 180mph going off Mad hammers car and Dynamics car when they were at Marham last year.

6 speed box in a 2.5 is much longer gearing compared to a 2.0ltr 6 speed, to do a true 180mph using a 2.0ltr 6 speed yad be at 8000rpm

Andy, the car did 168mph last time i was at Marham in a 50mph head wind and allowing for the car having more top end power now, plus it will have more soon I think the 180mph is a realistic figure.

im not saying it wont do 180, im just stating that in order to do 180mph using a 2.0ltr 6 speed jdm box yal hav to take it to around 8000rpm in 6th

If I was booked into Marham this year I would, but 180gps is a lot more than speedo speed. 168mph on the V box was 190mph on my speedo.

steve, you will make mince meat of a Ferrari 430 as well as mine blow one of them away.

My gear box top out at 177 mph at elvington last year, electronically measured and my car was only reading 5600rpm, I did it three times and couldnt get it to go faster. I was then told that its down to the final gear ratio.

In the early 90's I was on my way to Knockhill in the Rover SD1 Vitesse (380hp) for a track test and got pestered by a knob in a Ferrari 348tb who decided it was cool to ride my bumber and flash his lights at me through a set of single lane roadworks.

Once the roadworks finished he nearly wiped out the cones & my drivers mirror trying to pass me, well I though sod it just let him go - then the little knob gave me the fingers - well that was it - off I went as he stirred around his gearbox looking for more speed as I headed off into the distance.

Got to Knockhill to bump into this lad with a crowd around his car - he was only a salesman and had the car on a stand that day, well I shouted out, car's crap - got beaten by an old mans Rover - talk about redfaced.
