Managed to get the knackered lump home & stripped. Injectors have been sent away for inspection ect. no 2 piston has a dent out of the side ? & was letting in oil no 4 ringland gone The bores on 2 & 4 are very slightly scored. Fly wheel totally knackered ! valves on no 1 rusted like you wouldn't believe, strange one? as the gaskets were fine. The plan is : bores re-honed. forged rods, with ACl bearings. forged pistons (what size ? or do i get the bores honed to fit the pistons?) new heads as fook knows whats going on with the rusty one, ARP bolts 1.6mm gaskets oil pump oil cooler Least after i should have some piece of mind & nee fooker to blame but me if it all goes tits up. Any pointers or advise would be aprecicated

i would get the pistons honed to suit, if the bores have slight pick up try and keep as close too the standard size as possible, as if the worse happened and you ended up having another engine issue then your rebores get very limited too what you can do with out getting a new block. But this is very unlikly. Omega Pistons from RC are very very good, and availbable in different sizes
Good luck with the engien rebuild

if it were me, i'd get the block rebored 0.5mm and get the pistons to suit mate. quite a few people have said cylinders arent matched well as standard anyways and atleast if all cylinders are done, you know they all gonna match compression wise. also, you might aswell use cometic gaskets, just to make sure

Have measured the bores, very close to 92mm, 91.92, 91.94, 91.92, & 91.93. Std is 92mm is that right. So does that mean the best size will be 95.5mm pistons. Anyone recommations for the honing?.

Engine Services at Dunstan, The only Place i would use.
id think if you read what yellow says you need too ad .5 on mate 92.4 etc. As i state keep as minimal as possible that way you have scope if any thing else goes wrong The readings you get i dare say a hone will sort that no worrys
