| I know a few of you saw this at the NBO, but I thought the rest of you might like to see it. It's a Peugeot 206 World Rally Car built on a 1998 Impreza floor pan! It runs full subaru engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, wiring etc.... So essentially it's a 206-aru! It has plexiglass side 7 rear windows, and all the body panels are either fibreglass, kevlar or carbon so it's not the heaviest thing either! Were planning on building a big power EJ22 CDB and entering it next seasons Time Attack Series. What do you think? (Ignore the wheels- they were just to move it around!) | I'll try upload some more pics later.... It's a long way from running yet Dean, were still trying to find an EJ22 CDB (anyone know where there is one?) We had planned to get it out later this year, then rebuild it over the winter to a higher spec, but I've decided just to do it right first time, so if that takes a little longer then so be it. We've got the rear end just about sorted- Cusco Nissan 200 SX LSD (bullet proof), titanium custom exhaust and updated rear Subaru drive shafts with WRC joints. Now just got the expensive bits like engine, gearbox, suspension & brakes to sort Were looking for sponsors to help with the brakes & suspension. | |

| What the fook possesed you to use a 206?
I was having a look at iit when i was down on saturday it looked like there were one or to jobs still to do on it.
I would imagine it will be rather quick when its finshed though. Keep the update coming.

| Well, the whole idea came from a customer who we have highly modified his 206 HDI. He came in one day saying he'd bought another 206 and he wanted us to look into fitting Subaru running gear to it! One thing led to another and it led to us building a race car first, to see if we could figure out what it will take to make road car versions. Also, I used to rally a 206 back in 2002, and always wanted a WRC version, so in a way it's my dream car! Eye D4VE, there's a wee bit left to do! | |

| Eye, it started life as a rally cross car, was previously owned by a guy in huddesfield.
We've done a fair bit up to now, but got a Bl@@dy long way to go before it's finished!

| Why not just build a fast impreza for time attack, why go to all the hassle of a crappy French car. | |

| To be different?
Theres plenty of fast Impreza's out there, we wanted to be different. Plus, with a customer wanting a road going version it made perfect sence.
As for being a crappy French car, I agree, I hate French machines. But the only french part left on this car is the front windscreen so I can live with that!

| Cheers Phil. Yeah, it's wrapped in carbon, but just the part the driver steps over to get in to stop it getting marked.
