looking at two options for the re-build,
using a CDB & my 20G
2.0 fully forged , bits required, pistons, bearings & gaskets
or
2.1 stroker, bits required, pistons, 2.5 crank, bearings gaskets & block machining to take rear thrust.

Would the extra cost of parts for the 2.1 be worth is over the smaller outlay for the 2.0 idea. looking at for the same power i had from the 2.35 before it let go, 400/400 ish. Any input welcome.

out of the two choices id stick with 2ltr then you dont need pull out for crank, you will not notice much difference between 2ltr and 2.1, the 2.1 will have slightly more torque low dwn but wont rev as well as 2ltr, why not source a decent set of V3 - V8 STI pistons, these can cope with 450bhp and some all day if mapped correct Smile
