Right, the aerial has royally pissed me off today whilst fitting a few electrical gizmos having the ignition on and off constantly.
as it's a JDM the importer has put a wideband/booster in the loom and i assume the pink wire leading to this is for the aerial?
anyway..... i only want the aerial to lift when i use the radio.... would be alright if i was amping the car up because i'd connect it to the remote, but that aint the case (yet)......any ideas?

Remove the lecky aerial and replace it with a small rubber one, that's what I did when I got pissed off with the dodg'em look

Ah - but you forgot - Jonny is Jesus!
Anyway - Just wire your antenna into the electric antenna wire in the back of the stereo - most aftermarket stereos use a blue wire for this and it's only energised once the stereo is switched on - Tada.

sony radios used to have a electric aerial output that came on ONLY when the radio was on,so if you were playing a cd it would turn the feed off and the aerial would retract!there might be a couple of blue and blue/white wires on the back of the radio try the electric aerial wire on one of these and see if it makes a difference.not the light blue wire that has a sticker with"att" on it its for a phone kit mute input! also you can skip the jap aerial adaptor its only needed if you had a jap radio fitted!

As said earlier - connect the antenna power wire to the Blue wire on the back of your stereo.
