You can tell if they've got a steel thread insert when you look inside the nut theres a shiney steel thread running the full length of the inside.
Cant remember which ones hardy had on but they came loose a few times even when torqued up to the correct tightness, personally i think alloy wheel nuts without the steel insert shud be band

Yeah, this pikey bloke came knocking on the door Xmas Eve with it tucked under his arm .. looked rather dishevelled and cold so we let him in and he gave us this for taking pity on him.
Mind you i'm sure i've seen it somewhere before on a car belonging to a dodgy looking bloke with no hair ... any idea who used to own it?

Ooh Daz you need to be careful or things might get a little hairy around here lol ... rumour has it these baldies have a button and on it says 'ban' .. in fact myself and Jonny are in the minority around here - we're the only ones with the button that actually have hair !!
Did these baldy sinister looking blokes talking about a grille look rather shifty and dodgy? If so they could be the same ones here on Christmas Eve ...

Got D1 Spec nuts on mine, they are nice and light but they metal does seem quite soft. When I tried to take them off today the paint came off and all the corners started to round off. Are these nuts crap then? Iam surprised considering the price of them.

There not very good at all! I wouldn't hav them on my car that's for sure! Lol few of the studs on daves car weren't great to start wiv tho but few of them striped the treads and a few were tight to get off! Didnt feel great at all not summit you want to take a chance wiv really as it will b costly if a wheel comes off
