| Well what can I say, my Finn ported headers and Greer (sourced) custom made up-pipe are fitted to the car, and lo and behold its a different drive altogether.
I'm not sure if my description can be taken as gospel but it certainly feels a bit more urgent or responsive. Ive only done 20 miles in it, but its almost like the turbo lag has been taken away (to a large extent).
I presume I still need to get my map tweaked at some point to take full advantage of the bits, not to mention the decent fuel its now running on, but I'm very happy with my purchases and would certainly recommend them to anyone considering such an upgrade.
I'd also add that my fill up at the weekend was after 341.8 miles on BP Ultimate, so compliments again to Greer for persuading me to go for an Andrew Carr map. Which means I must now apologise for laughing at him when he suggested it could actually be more economical whilst also improving performance. WTF do I know. Humble pie consumed, I will now retreat to the shadows.

| Sorry for the hijack, how many times did you fill up to do 341.8 miles, 2 possibly 3 | |

| No probs Tufty, just the basic full tank to empty tank, one fill up. Have regularly seen over 300 miles per tank (and also a good deal less), but never more than 318 before the light came on. This was exceptional 340+ and no fuel light......and yes the light works before some smart arse asks So I can only put it down to the change in map by the wizard, Mr Carr. Will be interested to see how the new uppie and ported headers affect this. | |

| Don't want to change this into a MPG debate but thats good MPG, i can only dream of figures like that, never seen more than 230ish out of a full tank when it was a standard STi PPP, now with my VF43 on about 160 around the doors
Have you got your VF48 on yet?

| Not yet Tufty - VF48, TMIC and 650cc's on the garage shelf for now as I'm taking a bit of a break from the mods. Not realy in a rush, and want to make sure I do this properly as its the only car I have, and I cant afford for it to go pop.
I'm just happy with my ported heeders, custom uppie and lots more miles per tank for now.

| Sound like a good mod to have.
Finn - How much are they for a 2.5 STI ? Also, I'm planning on a 20g or 321 Turbo (or similar - I'm open to advice) would a new up-pipe be needed ?
Thanks

| Hang on a minute chaps, lets be very clear here, I state that my big miles were BEFORE the new uppipe and ported headers. I'm thinking I got a big improvement from the recent remap. I just wanted to make that very clear before Finn shakes me gently by the adams apple for advertising that ported headers get you an extra 150 miles per tank | |

Finns headers - 40mpg guaranteed or your money back!! PS Can someone tell me how to quote properly Ta Rob.
