| I work as an Architectural Technician, I design houses, extensions, conservatories e.t.c. I can submit plans for Planning Permission and Building Regulation certificates. I've also done larger projects such as Supermarkets and Warehouses. Here is a couple of examples of jobs I've worked on:- On my computer:- And on site:- On my comp. again- And near completion- Not all the houses I do are as flash as this though, these are just the pick of the bunch! I am quite reasonable on price compared to some of the larger Architectural companies around. If you need any building drawings doing then you can PM me or contact me on 07973242933 | |

| Yeah the old AutoCAD software, I use it all the time for drawing. It beats using a pen and paper thats for sure. | |

It's a good profession, I was going to study it at degree level but it was a 7 year course! I ended up doing 2 years for a BTEC HND and then 1 year for CAD course. My business is really picking up now, Garden Rooms seem to be all the rage these days, I do loads of them.

| Was thinking about getting a conservatory, but think i'm swaying towards a summer house.
How much to do drawings/plans for something 5mx4.5m, single storey, pitched roof, would want it to have sliding doors on all 3 sides instead of fixed glazing, if you can picture it? !!!!!

| I'd design one of those for around the £300 mark, NESF discount price! lol I'm sure they'd charge a lot more at one of the bigger firms, they'd charge you about £450-500 for their services.
You would have other costs involved though of course, since it is longer than 3m then you would need planning approval which would probably cost about £200 then you'd need Building Regulation approval which would cost about £400. Also because you have glass on all 3 sides instead of brickwork you'd need steel to support the roof, so a Structural Engineer might need to be involved. He'd probably charge £200-300 for his services. So the money all adds up lol Then you have the actual cost of the build, I'd say for what you want a builder would charge about £8-10k but it varies from builder to builder.
I could dig out a design for one I've done before if you're interested?
