Subject: dunno how some one could live in this Mon 30 Jan - 20:43
got asked to got to this flat today to have alook for a leak as there was some damp starting on the walls!! in the 10 years ive been plumbing i hav'nt seen damp like this in a flat that is only 2 years old at the most

no didnt find it didnt even look for it! we walked in and could hardly breath with the smell of the place so took some pic's and walked back out

I'm no expert but that looks like rising damp, that ain't caused by a leak! There probably no damp proof course at all! Mould lik that can cause serious held problems

thats what we fort but there's a carpark below so that pretty much rules that out god knows wat it was we didnt stay long enfu to find out

looks more like a serious condensation problem, have decorated a house very similar with single glazed wood windows that were also covered in black mould, told him he needs to sort ventilation to windows till he gets double glazing, and there was condensation mould, a dehumidifier might help, after a bloody good fungicidal wash down and paint

And into a decontamination ward somewhere I hope. They must be riddled with bugs & bacteria by now living in that petri dish. Thats just awful.
