PostSubject: 2003 Type R   2003 Type R EmptyWed 22 Feb - 9:25

I have a deal with the missus. We're buying a new house next year and the arrangement is if she picks the house/location I get to buy a Sapphire Cosworth at the same time as a toy Wink So obviously it needs a garage.. So I've been following cossie prices for quite a while but as time goes by I'm being slowly but surely drawn away from a cossie and towards a Type R. Not really considered them before and although I had a classic for a while I was set on cossies. This has changed. So now trawling the net for low mileage Type R's.. Came across this beauty:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2003-SUBARU-IMPREZA-TYPE-R-STI-COUPE-/280827090177?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4162995501

I'm guessing it's on a 52 plate due to import date but could be wrong, absolutely love it.. Shame we're not moving now Wink

Found this too:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1997-SUBARU-IMPREZA-TYPE-R-WORLD-RALLY-SONIC-BLUE-2-DOOR-COUPE-400-BHP-/170764575338?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27c25ca26a

Stuck on the Sonic Blue and love the clean lines with no decals etc.. Probably cos it looks similar to a 22b.. lol

Cossies are shite if want to actually drive them though, remember, at the end of the day it's 1980's ford sierra.

Type R is a better drivers car by a long shot in my opinion.

Laughing It's a fair point, mine was ok in the 90's, christ knows what they'd be like now compared to modern tackle. I think I'd polish a cossie but drive a Type R Smile

One of the advantages of being a slack arse girly pen pushing manager (to quote Robbo_22)............is that I have a big office (currently housing a number of goodies to keep the Kindon busy in March).

My mate has one we call it the taxi. With the Durham rs owners club stickers in the back window looks like a 'no food or drink in the car' sticker from a distance Laughing

I can vouch for the type R, they are a great car to drive. Shame it wasn't the right time bud as you could of just bought mine, needs nowt doing to it and it's low mileage with 54K miles. Sure most on here would vouch for the condition.

That one on ebay looks like a 1998. By the looks off the interior it looks like a V4 with a facelift front end. Plus why has it got std UK rear lights????

Pic of mine.
