Is It Worth..............

Keeping my type R????

Had her for 3 years now and spent almost £20K on her. Think most of you know the spec and condition.

Had her out today and she still brings a MASSIVE smile to my face.

Reason for the Thread is because I have done 746 miles in the last 12 months.

Don't mind paying the insurance, MOT etc but the mileage I am doing makes me think is it worth keeping.

Thoughts please!!!!

I have been in the same situation in the past, I sold my Type R and have regretted it ever since.

Exactly what I keep thinking Jonny. The type R seems to be getting more & more rare each day too.

keep it mate even if its just for them sundays when your feeling down and you can take it for a little blast and put that smile on your face

dont sell it phil. imagine you ended up in the same position as me. all that hard work wasted. The lad who i sold it to thought it was funny when i said "do you have any idea how much money and work i put into that car, there was only 1000 of them made so it was a rare motor". This made me irate to say the least! If you sell it you WILL regret it like jonny says. They are getting rarer and in future will only go up in value. Especially clean examples like your own. If i was you i would keep it and keep that lil skoda sleeper. That way everytime you get the type r out it will put an even larger grin on your dashboard lol :-) :-)

Wise words bud. Some people think you're daft when you tell them how much time, money & effort go into getting a car to a certain spec and then they have the balls to say "it's not worth that much!".
