Just got into work and engine light has fooking come on.. car was 100% when parked up this morning.. I think its struggling to boost too? Only contributing factors could be its been pissing down all day onto the car and also I topped oil up last night? Obviously I need it checked out ASAP but any advice welcomed..

Parked facing uphill in the rain ?
Water puddling around the knock sensor can do this.

Lol well its done it again so its parked up too. Going to move knock sensor and hopefully get back in touch with Drew. Stupid question, will disconnecting battery get rid of engine light?

Anyone know where the knock sensor is and where you move it to? I've heard about people relocating before but never known what or where it is.

I'm not hugely helpful but I know it's under the intercooler...
Mines parked ever so slightly facing down hill!

Starting it up and switching off four times will knock the CEL off, think it will keep the fault code stored.

Yeh the knock-sensor is located under the intercooler which needs to be removed according to Drew, he pointed it out on a lump he had on a stand.. I think the sensor has a little black rubber hood.. will move it today or tomorrow and try that switch on/off fours times thing (cheers btw) and take it from there...
