| measure cc in heads as they vary from different models, also measure pistons and deck height, then you can work out what compression ratio you wish to run, alot of people have different opinions on compression ratios, theres good gains to be had from the correct ratio,i use a perpet and a thin liquid like thinners and a perspex plate etc to measure the displacement | |

| Cheers Andy thats the bit i had a rough idea about bud, it was the actual equasion to take all the measured results & give me a result of 1.1mm for example. Or am i missing somthing obvious lol. | |

| Right i'm all sorted, cc'd the heads & got all the other dimentions required. Whats the ideal comp ratio. CP site says the pistions are 8:5:1, is this what i should be aiming for ?. | |

| i got told it was 8:4 std so not sure if there would be much gains by upping it | |

| Right done some research, & 8:5:1 is good for what i'm after, thing is i've used several comp ratio calculators & all seem to give me different results, Has anyone go a tried & tested one. These are the measurment i have, & i get a 8:8:1 with a 1.6mm gasket cyl bore 92mm stroke 75mm deck height 0.32mm piston cc 8.2mm head cc 46.8mm Any thoughts as i'm loosing my enthusiasum for this rebuild lark. | |
