| Been looking at getting one of these for a good while now and finally found the ideal one, so went for it! year - 2004 body type - wagon engine - 2.0 turbo 240bhp present mods - cat back exhaust, k&n, tinted window came with a fresh oil service, 12 months tax and mot, full service history, 12 months mot, 2 brand new tyres to be fitted when the present 2 wear out, 12 month FULL all parts warrenty. just about everything i could want... drove it for a week, wasnt happy with how it was running at all, so decided to get the oil out of it and put some proper stuff in, obviously, while i was doing that, a oil filter would be needed. i also became sad that it didnt have a dump valve, so, that was on the cards and while doing that, it seemed to make sence to get a boost gauge as the dump valve was off anyway... so, last night, i got cracking with my mate matty whos been to a few meets in his hawkeye impreza. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]brings us up to date, i'll get some interior pics when it stops raining... next... few more engine mods, cat replacement pipe, then coilovers eventually... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]then... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Got the short shifter fitted, wasn't a walk in the park, but with some washers and some swearing, it went on. Really starting to feel the changes now, but can feel its gunna need a remap soon. fitted my turbo timer and radio from the mazda as the standard one made me want to die. although i liked the OEM look, the fact i couldnt listed to mp3 was the worth thing to ever happen. OH and the skip track was a knob on the left and the volume was a knob on the right... think about it... THATS WRONG?! turbo timer i had fitted up next to the boost gauge, but whilst sat in the car, i had another idea, which to a small degree, i have implimented... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]WIRES?! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]with the flash turned on up close it looks poo, in the car, sat back, it looks fine. i will ovcourse sort it out, but for a 5 minute job, suits me for now... thats everything so far, but, this will be updated daily as ive just blown a whole load of wages... | |

| I think it took me about 3 yrs to do less than half of what youve done in a weekend. Nice one Hopefully you'll be changing the door speakers, as to be fair the HU isnt the real weak point of the system | |

| Let us know about speaker fit when you get round to it, I was looking to upgrade myself but wanted to keep standard covers but there is not much space for uprated speakers. I think max depth around 50-60mm? | |

| took standard units out and decided it was easiest to make an mdf template and fit that to the new speakers. 2 minutes with a saw and they were done, screwed them on, sorted the wiring. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]gluegunned it all together [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]realised there was a seperate tweeter unit AFTER i had been to halfords, so that can wait for another day... | |

| After all the hard work and investment a little bit of sound deadening material to stop the door panels flapping about makes all the difference. Might have a small sheet or two in the garage, depending on where you are you could swing round and grab them | |

| Mate, I'm pretty sure I texted you asking about yours? Not remember getting a text off a Steven? Lol.
I love yours, but its blue and I wanted to go black, I'd been told I wouldn't go back. Lol!
If I was you, I would check up daily! I'm rushing to get it finished during my time off work. Haha. | |
