| Well, after months and months of nothing at all, I got round to doing something. More out of boredom than anything. Also bought a joblot of heat wrap off ebay ages ago which I wanted to use. So, purchased replacement sti headers etc and wrapped them! After some head scratching I decided not to wrap the flexi bits. First I grindered off all the heat shields car one, which I removed properly. Then wrapped all the pipework I could see, the replaced the heat shield. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]obviously I will replace the plastic cable ties, they were just all I had. Also stopped the split rims leaking air! Only took me about 6 months to bother. Lol. | |

| so 3 hours after i posted this, my car was stolen from off my drive outside my house. i was woken at 02:30 by the sound of an impreza flying past my window. at the time i jsut shrugged it off, but in the morning, when i opened my garage and found an empty driveway, i realised it was mine. whilst waiting 2 hours for the police, i found that my tracking device was not subscribed to which meant they would not help locate my car and i was NOT covered by my insurance, not a single penny. after wasting my time with a policeman that was very upfront about the fact he would be little to no help in finding my car, i went for a drive around my local area for about a 2 mile radius and just as i was giving up hope... i found it. not the police, me. i then rang the police and informed them of my detective work. i warmed the engine, then drove the car to my dads house, quite aggresively and it seems fine. i had reset my trip counter the night before and can be pretty sure they covered about 6 miles. because of this, i have made the decision to replace nearly all service parts, disks and pads, all fluids, etc etc. with a mixture of over the counter parts and aftermarket ones. namely, royal purple gearbox and diff oil, millers race engine oil, another k&n oil filter, yellow stuff pads. im also stepping up my attempts to sell my wheels and trying to move on! this is exactly where i found my car, only, i have popped the bonnet and opened the door... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]walking around the car i found they had popped my bumper off a bit... which i fixed my punching it... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]my vf35! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]and finally the parts i have so far... still waiting on my doorlocks, pads and oil filter, gearbox oil, inlet manifold and a few other things... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]so yeah, been eventful and really fookin expensive, but i should end up with a better car... so... | |

| Well, over the past week I've been collecting parts and the pile just keeps getting bigger. Pretty much all the parts I need have arrived now, although god knows how long it'll take to fit it all! Lol. Inlet manifold, fog covers, ebc reds, k&n oil filter, full steering collum and locks, timing belt kit and water pump, royal purple gearbox and diff oil, wheel studs, x4 wheel barings, caliper paint, powerflex bumpstops, wind deflectors, radiator cap, engine oil, power steering fluid, coolant, brake discs, brake fluid and cabin filter. Also went across and took the rear lights out as I have an idea... Ran the car for ten minutes and it still seems spot on. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] | |
